Frans De Leij – Director of R&D

Frans has been one of the first scientists to recognise the potential of biochar for application in land remediation and has been instrumental in the development of a range of charcoal based technologies on which the C-Cure product range is based. His innovative approach to research has led to seven patents which are currently being commercialised via spin-out companies and licensing opportunities. Previously held roles as a lecturer in Environmental Biotechnology at the University of Surrey and as a research scientist at Horticulture Research International and Rothamsted Experimental Station.
